  1. Dear Colleagues,

    It’s our great pleasure to announce you of the 58th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Rhinologic Society (JRS), which will be held on October 3rd ~5th 2019, in Tokyo, Japan. We will do everything we can to make this a scientific event that is relevant, instructive and innovative for rhinologists at all stages of their careers. We would like to welcome a number of active participants from all over the world, with setting up international sessions. If you may have any concern with our academic programme, please encourage your colleagues to come and contribute to it.

  1. TOKYO Sky Tree is the tallest TV tower in the world with a height of 634 meters, which is visible from all around Tokyo.
    The observatory floors from 340 meters to 445 meters up are designed in a way that you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Tokyo, including even its suburbs.
    At ground level, it is surrounded by a complex with a variety of shops, restaurants, and aquarium, where you can enjoy shopping and dining.
  2. Ginza
  3. Ginza is a famous luxury shopping place in Tokyo, where you can find a variety of high-end Maison boutiques, galleries, fine dining, and many established department stores.
    In the east of Ginza, is "Kabuki-za", which organizes kabuki performances, and many other popular theatre forms.
  4. Odaiba
  5. Odaiba is an area located on artificial island of Tokyo Bay, and is surrounded by many modern buildings.
    This is a hub of many shopping complexes, hotels, and onsen. The "Tokyo Big Sight", a large-scale exhibition hall is also in this place.
  6. Okuma Garden
  7. Originally the site of a villa of the Matsudaira clan, the grounds include a teahouse relocated from Gifu Prefecture. The entrance is located right next to the lobby of the first floor of the RIHGA Royal Hotel Tokyo.
    Hours of operation: 11:00 to 16:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, April to December. In addition to Wednesdays and Sundays, Okuma Garden is closed on national holidays. Contact RIHGA Royal Hotel Tokyo directly for more details.
    Areas of interest around the Shinjuku area Along with Shibuya and Ikebukuro, Shinjuku is one of the three core areas of Tokyo and is well known for its shopping, fashion and business.
  8. Tokyo Central Wholesale Market / Toyosu Market
  9. Toyosu Market (Toyosu Shijō) opened on October 11, 2018 on the man-made island of Toyosu in the Bay of Tokyo. It took over the wholesale business from the aging Tsukiji Market and provides tourists with an opportunity to observe the market action and to dine at restaurants across its large, modern premises. The huge wholesale market consists of three main buildings: two buildings for seafood and one for fruits and vegetables. All buildings are connected with each other and Shijo-mae Station via walkways, and tourists can enter them along dedicated routes and view the action from observation windows that look onto the auction and wholesale halls for tuna, other seafood and produce.
  10. Asakusa
  11. A popular destination for tourists, Asakusa was traditionally an entertainment district, and welcomes people from all walks of life with its attractions. Among the famous locations is Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), beyond which is Senso Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo. Nakamise-dori is the road leading up to Kaminarimon, and its shops are popular among visitors.

Getting there

    The Toshi Center Hotel Tokyo is located in the Nagata-cho business district of Tokyo. Access to the hotel is convenient by Tokyo Metro from Nagatacho Station, Kojimachi Station and Akasakamitsuke Station.

    Haneda Airport

  1. Take Tokyo Monorail at Haneda Airport Station for Hamamatsucho Station
  2. Transfer to the JR Yamanote Line at Hamamatsucho Station to Yurakucho Station
  3. From Yurakucho Station transfer to Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line
  4. On the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line get off at Nagatacho Station

    By Train: Take Narita Express for Tokyo Station
    By Limousine Bus: Take limousine for Tokyo Station
    From Tokyo Statio
  1. Take JR Yamanote Line from Tokyo Station to Yurakucho Station
  2. From Yurakucho Station transfer to Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line
  3. Get off at Nagatacho Stationat on Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line Or, take a taxi from Tokyo Station, about 15 minutes
